Please call our office at least 24 hours before your appointment. If the office is not notified you risk being charged for a no show or not being granted future appointments with the practice. Your clinician has set aside time to meet with you, and it is important that you attend your appointment.
Payment of account balances and copayments are expected at the time of service. Billing statements are mailed with payment options.
The practice has providers that participate with most insurance plans that service the Richmond area to include Anthem, Aetna, Cigna, Healthkeepers, Humana, Medicare, Medicaid, Optima, Optum, Tricare, United Healthcare, VHN. Our Intake coordinator will have the most up to date information on a particular provider’s status and availability.
Notify the office prior to receiving services if there is an update to health care coverage. Provide a copy of the new insurance card.
It is important that medication be taken as prescribed as well as maintaining follow up care as determined appropriate by your healthcare provider. We recommend scheduling subsequent visits immediately following being seen to ensure appointments occur before medications run out. Maintaining regularly scheduled appointments allows for prescriptions to be reviewed and renewed without interruption. Should you happen to miss an appointment you will need to reschedule before making a request for additional medication.
If a medication requires prior authorization the pharmacy will communicate with our office. This process may take several days for the insurance company to make a decision. You may want to follow up with the pharmacy for updates.
Records requests should be made using a release of information form. You may request a release of information form by emailing [email protected]. This form should be filled out to include the professional the records are to be released to including the address. The form can be returned via email to [email protected]. Please allow 7-10 days for processing. Fees associated with records requests depend on the number of pages.
The practice admits to both HCA and Bon Secours facilities to include St. Mary’s Hospital, Richmond Community Hospital, Henrico Doctors Hospital, The Pavilion at Williamsburg, Cumberland Hospital for Children, as well as Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center. We also provide consultation services to Memorial Regional Medical Center, St Francis Medical Center.
