Empathy and Expertise in Psychiatry
Care Sensitive to Your Needs
Life can sometimes be overwhelming. Stress, anxiety, and depression are feelings we all cope with from time to time — so it’s easy to dismiss them as temporary. But if these feelings don’t go away or begin to affect you daily, you may need help from a behavioral health professional.
Insight Physicians behavioral health professionals have been helping individuals for more than 36 years. Our goal is to provide the highest quality care to our patients either in the office or via telemedicine.

Melissa Cramsey is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She began her career in the psychiatric field as an RN working at a residential facility for children with behavioral and mental health issues. She then carried that knowledge into an acute behavioral health inpatient setting, where she worked for 6 years. During this time, she went back to school to obtain her Bachelor’s Degree from Old Dominion University and her Master’s Degree from Walden University. She recognizes that each client is an individual person that experiences life in their own way. She provides individualized treatment and works together with the client to create a treatment plan that is best for them. She also recognizes the rise of addiction disorders in the community and does her part to reduce the use of habit-forming medication.
When not serving the community, she likes to go camping with her husband. She enjoys working out, but not quite as much as she enjoys cupcakes. She also likes riding motorcycles and helping her father restore cars. She has two cats that fully believe the world revolves around them and humans are only here as servants.
